Hi, I’m Pertina Smith, the heart behind this shop. I’m a first-generation American, born to Jamaican parents, and growing up I often felt like I was standing between worlds. At home, Jamaican holidays, food, music, and traditions were deeply celebrated. Outside of home, those same things were rarely recognized—or understood.

For a long time, I felt different and out of place. My birth culture felt like a “foreign country” to others, even though it was such a huge part of who I am. As I grew older, I realized something important: it wasn’t just me.

So many people from different cultures feel unseen. America is beautifully diverse, yet often deeply divided—and many cultures are only acknowledged during a single month or holiday, if at all.

That realization sparked this shop.

I genuinely love studying different countries—their cultures, traditions, colors, stories, and history. Learning about the world brings me joy, and creating designs inspired by different nations feels like a way to honor that love while sharing it with others.

This shop exists to celebrate countries and cultures so everyone can feel seen, valued, and included. It’s a space where people of different nations can come together, feel represented, and feel proud of where they come from.

Here, culture is not a trend.
